Temple Beth Am Board meetings are held once a month. Unless the meeting is in Executive session, it is open to members to observe. Meetings are usually scheduled on the third Thursday of the month from 7 PM to 9 PM in the Room 226 in the K'hilah Center. If you are interested in attending a meeting, please check the calendar to verify the date of the meeting.

If you wish to get an issue on the Board agenda, contact the Board President. Please note that board agenda items usually begin at the committee level for discussion, research, and full vetting. Policy is determined by the Board.

If you are interested in serving on the Board, please contact any Board officer or Esther Herst, Executive Director. The Immediate Past President chairs the Nominations Committee. Per our bylaws, the nominations committee consists of:

  • two Board members to serve staggered two-year terms
  • two at-large members elected at the annual meeting to serve a one-year term
  • two congregational members one of whom is a member of the Religious School Board to serve a one year term

The nominating committee meets and selects a slate at least two months prior to the Annual meeting. Prior to finalizing the slate there is an open announcement for nominations in the Bulletin that interested members can respond to.
