Modern Spoken Hebrew
9:00–10:00 AM
Book: “Colloquial Hebrew: The Complete Course for Beginners” by Tamar Wang

This class is ideal for those wanting to either learn spoken Modern Hebrew, or improve their Hebrew speaking skills. Perfect for travelers to Israel or just for conversation. Prerequisites: Beginner Hebrew Part 1 and some Hebrew basic vocabulary.

Beginning Prayerbook Hebrew

Book: “Learn Hebrew Today: Alef-Bet for Adults” by Paul Michael Yedwab and Howard I. Bogot

Designed for those with little or no previous exposure to Hebrew, this introductory course focuses on developing the foundation for reading comprehension and a basic Hebrew vocabulary. We will learn few basic prayers; we will cover the beginners’ book until page 30 which includes all vowels and most letters. This class is required for adults wishing to become adult B’nai Mitzvot or convert

Intermediate Prayerbook Hebrew

Book: “Prayerbook Hebrew the Easy Way – 3rd Edition”

This course is designed for anyone who has completed at least one semester of Hebrew. We will continue to develop the foundation for reading comprehension and a basic Hebrew vocabulary. We will go through the first 5 chapters of the book as well as practice reading, translate and study prayers from the Friday evening and Shabbat morning services. Prerequisites: Beginning Prayerbook Hebrew Part 1 or anyone who can read basic Hebrew.

Registration Information: The cost of our Hebrew courses is $120 for members, $140 for non-members per semester. Cost includes your textbook. Save 10% when you register for both our Fall and Spring semesters. Register by September 19, 2011 and get an additional $10 off. Email Alysa Rosen or call (206) 525-0915 for more information.
