A HIGH HOLY DAY MESSAGE FROM OUR RABBIS

Of the many gifts Jewish tradition asks you to unwrap and embrace, engagement with the High Holy Days is one of the greatest. As youth we may not have appreciated just how enriching a treasure they are, but as we grow wiser, we understand that these Days of Awe grant the opportunity to see the fall as a time of deep appreciation for life, renewal and personal reflection. In a culture that seems to move too fast, these Holy Days can help you and your loved ones slow down and drink in meaning by connecting to community, taking time to meditate in prayer, and studying the words of Torah that beckon you to reflect upon the path of your life.

But like anything great, this gift has to be unwrapped and placed for a moment in the context of your life experience. In our ever more hectic lives, one has to plan for the holidays in order to deepen their personal meaning. Over the coming months, our Website will describe many opportunities to connect at Beth Am, along with basic practices to enrich your engagement with this High Holy Day season.

We look forward to worshipping with you.
