Elul Hearth Groups

To help you prepare mentally for the High Holy Days, we are once again offering our Elul Hearth Groups, a modern twist on an ancient custom. The month of Elul, leading up to the High Holy Days, is traditionally a time of introspection, of taking stock of one's life.  We have put together curricula for a weekly series of small group discussions that are designed to foster reflective conversations. An Elul Hearth Group is not a class; it's an opportunity to share stories, to see and hear each other more deeply, rather than to take positions or debate issues.

Using discussion guides based on those created by Ask Big Questions, an initiative of Hillel International, we'll examine the following four topics:

  • How do you recharge?
  • What are you thankful for?
  • How do we connect?
  • What is your legacy?

This is an intentional, sequential series of content, so we ask all participants to commit to attending all four sessions.

If you would like to learn more about Elul Hearth Groups, or even start your own Group, please contact Sam Rosen.  We look forward to coming together with you all during this sacred season. Please visit our High Holy Days page early next week to see our schedule of services and events.
