DESCRIPTION:This class will deepen your understanding of formal Jewish pra
 yer by exploring how elements of poetry such as repetition\, juxtaposit
 ion\, and metaphor also enhance Jewish prayers. There will be formal st
 udy of liturgical and poetic texts\; writing exercises\; as well as oppo
 rtunities to get to know other Beth Am members. Poet\, writing teacher\, 
 and longtime TBA member Debby Bacharach partners with Rabbi Ruth in teach
