  June 1954\, Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) Chairman Lewis Strauss revoked
  the security clearance of Dr. J. Robert Oppenheimer\, who had been the sc
 ientific leader of the Manhattan Project that developed the first atomic b
 ombs. Rabbi Jack will explore how their respective Jewish identities may h
 ave contributed to the revocation. Seeing the movie Oppenheimer is not a p
 rerequisite for the talk\, but it can be useful to view the film in advanc
 e for those who are interested.\n\nAbout the speaker:\nJack Shlachter is b
 oth a physicist and an ordained rabbi who worked at Los Alamos National La
 boratory and other organizations for over thirty years. He led The Jewish 
 Center of The Moriches\, NY\, during his years at Brookhaven and is curren
