SUMMARY:Passover
DESCRIPTION:[embed]https://vimeo.com/1074796778/63dccd16d3[/embed]\n\nThis
evening is Shabbat HaGadol\, the Great Shabbat\, the Shabbat just prior t
o the holiday of Passover. It is a time to reflect and enjoy the last tast
e of chametz (leavened products) before the end of Passover. We hope yo
u will join us for our festive Shabbat service tonight and our "Chametzfes
t" potluck!\n\nMeanwhile\, in the spirit of our rabbis of old who preached
with fervor on the Shabbat before Passover\, Rabbi Ruth shares a formal s
ermon regarding how relevant the message of Passover is for us\, just as i
t has been for our ancestors.\n\nIn her message Rabbi Ruth shares these d
iscussion questions from T'ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights:\n\n
 ·      What is an Egypt that you feel afraid to leave?\n\n·
What do you need in order to take the first step out of Mitzrayim (t
he narrow place)?\n\n·      What is one thing you can do to support
  a loved one\, friend\, or neighbor to prepare for the wilderness?\n\nTo r
ead Rabbi Ruth's remarks click here. To download a printable version of t
he questions click here.\n\nJoin us on Saturday\, April 19th at 10:30am
for Shabbat and Festival Morning Service with Yizkor- services will be i
 n person and on Zoom.
