Join Rabbi Dana as they lead us through exploring the Biblical book of Judges, the second post-Torah book in our Hebrew Bible. From Deborah and Yael to Samson and Delilah, the book of Judges has stories we know are part of our canon but we rarely take time to explore. The book begins after Joshua’s leadership sharing about the attempts of Judges to lead the badly behaved Israelites. From the humorous to the gross, to the sad and horrifying, the journey lets us explore moments of difficult and failed leadership in our people’s history, and perhaps can shed light on difficult moments of leadership in our own day. Join us while we laugh, question, and are comforted by the stories our ancestors have held onto in uncertain moments.
Classes will be held on Zoom Thursdays, starting December 12th from 6:15-7:30 pm (with no class 12/26 & 1/2).
