We are excited to welcome back Rabbi Jack Shlachter for another engaging Lunch and Learn presentation, “Synchronous Sin and Synesthesia at Sinai.” Building on a fascinating verse from the Revelation at Mount Sinai, Rabbi Shlachter will share Jewish interpretations from the Midrash, Zohar, and other classic sources alongside the modern phenomenon of synesthesia, in which stimulation of one sense triggers another, to explore the possibility of whether collective synesthesia occurred at Sinai. A physicist and ordained rabbi, Rabbi Shlachter has served Jewish communities around the world and brings unique scientific insight and Jewish scholarship to his teaching.
