Kids Baking Party!
A baking smorgasbord! We’ll have multiple stations so kids can make, decorate, and bake challah; press and bake sugar cookies; and decorate cupcakes! Visit one station, or visit them all! To keep the mess and chaos under some control, we’re targeting kids 5-12. Parents should stay to mingle and chat (and help their kids if needed) — we’ll have drinks and such for the adults! One slot is for one child and one adult.

Family & Kids Arts & Crafts with Cathy Shiovitz!
Gather in the Temple Courtyard tents with Artist and Teacher, Cathy Shiovitz, to create and print greeting cards and a cotton tote bag using acrylic paints and found objects. Perfect your design on cardstock then transfer your art to a tote bag. All materials are provided, but if you like to add your print to a t-shirt or other cloth item, feel free to bring them along. Seattle by Water: Day of Adventure Touring by Boat
Come enjoy a day on the water with friends aboard a 46 foot yacht! We’ll begin our cruise in Elliott Bay, seeing downtown up close from the water, then head past Discovery Park to the Ballard Locks. We’ll transit the locks and head through the Ship Channel into Lake Union for an up close tour of the floating homes, boat communities and Seattle skyline. We’ll head East into Portage Bay and through the Montlake Cut into the open waters of Lake Washington. Depending on the timing of our trip there may be an opportunity for some swimming in either Lake Washington or Lake Union. We’ll wind our day down with a trip back through the Ballard Locks, ending our journey at Elliot Bay Marina. Lunch, snacks, and drinks will be provided on our cruise.

Soup in the Sukkah!

Come join your friends at the second annual Beth Am Brotherhood poker tournament. This no limit Texas hold’em game will include food and drinks. Jews in Space
A 2.5 to 3 hour Tabletop Role Playing Game set in space! Participants will be led through a collaborative storytelling game by experienced game masters. No experience is necessary. We will customize characters together and embark on an adventure aboard a spaceship. Pearls (or knot) and Afternoon Tea
Come make pearl-knotted bracelets from pearls and/or semi-precious gemstones. You’ll have time to make at least one bracelet, and maybe two! For those already adept at pearl-knotting or the extra adventurous, you can start on a mala-style necklace instead (although you may need to finish it at home).
Our pearl-knotting extravaganza will take place outdoors, in Lisa Kahan Marmor’s backyard, accompanied by afternoon tea treats, provided by Shelly F. Cohen, and lively conversation provided by you! We look forward to creating together.

A 3 hour workshop to create a piece of art made from re-purposed materials and programmable LEDs!
Participants will create a 6″ x 6″ piece of unique art from re-purposed materials. The art piece will have programmable LEDs in which you may choose the color patterns and display patterns. If interested, we will teach you the basics of the code used to run the light display and let you experiment. No experience needed – all information and materials provided by experienced teachers. Additional materials will be available to take home if you are having too much fun and do not finish.
