This evening is Shabbat HaGadol, the Great Shabbat, the Shabbat just prior to the holiday of Passover. It is a time to reflect and enjoy the last taste of chametz (leavened products) before the end of Passover. We hope you will join us for our festive Shabbat service tonight and our “Chametzfest” potluck!
Meanwhile, in the spirit of our rabbis of old who preached with fervor on the Shabbat before Passover, Rabbi Ruth shares a formal sermon regarding how relevant the message of Passover is for us, just as it has been for our ancestors.
In her message Rabbi Ruth shares these discussion questions from T’ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights:
· What is an Egypt that you feel afraid to leave?
· What do you need in order to take the first step out of Mitzrayim (the narrow place)?
· What is one thing you can do to support a loved one, friend, or neighbor to prepare for the wilderness?

Join us on Saturday, April 19th at 10:30am for Shabbat and Festival Morning Service with Yizkor- services will be in person and on Zoom.
