Young Families

youngfamiliesfallkick-off2011Young Families at Beth Am (YFBA) is a group created to serve families with children newborn to 6 years old. Our goal is to help parents with young children connect and grow through educational, social, and cultural events, in order to create and sustain a Jewish life. We offer monthly programs for families and have annual get-togethers for just parents, too.

Temple Beth Am also has two services a month tailored for young children which are open to everyone, whether TBA members or not: Kinder Kabbalat on the first Friday of the month at 6:00 PM and Tot Shabbat on the fourth Saturday of the month at 9:15 AM.

YFBA is based out of Temple Beth Am, but you do not need to be a member to participate in this group. Everyone is welcome! Join our email list by filling in your email address at the right, then selecting "Young Families" in the next window.

You can also join Young Families at Beth Am on Facebook to keep up-to-date with our events and late-breaking information.

Upcoming Events:

YFBA Shavuot Bubble Ice Cream Party
Saturday, June 3, 3:00 - 5:00 PM
TBA Courtyard
We're having a super Shavuot celebration hosted by Young Families at Beth Am with an interactive bubble show with Seattle's own BubbleMan, Gary Golightly! It's going to be bubblerific. We'll have an art project and short teaching about Shavuot before the bubble show and then finish off with play time and ICE CREAM! Perfect for our 5 and under crowd; of course, bigger sibling are invited, too.

This is a free event - and we have lots of room - so invite your friends. Please RSVP to our Director of Community Engagement Alexis Kort with the number of children and adults, so we have enough ice cream.
