Rabbi Ruth and Rabbi Rachel Nussbaum (Kavana Cooperative), along with Congregation Beth Shalom and Temple De Hirsch Sinai invite you to join them on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 7:00PM, at Temple Beth Am for an evening with Dr. Yasmeen Abu Fraiha, a Palestinian Bedouin physician, activist, and board member of the New Israel Fund.
Dr. Abu Fraiha served as a first responder on October 7, 2023 at Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva, where she treated victims of the attacks while mourning the loss of colleagues, friends, and neighbors. In the months that followed, she continued to advocate for compassion, equality, and shared society amidst ongoing violence. Through her clinical, policy, and advocacy work at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard University, the Israeli Ministry of Health, and beyond, Dr. Abu Fraiha has brought deep insight into the intersections of medicine, justice, and humanity. This program offers a rare opportunity to hear from a leader working to build a more equitable and peaceful future in the Middle East.
