Annual Gala 2026

Thank you to all of those who sponsored, attended, and donated to Temple Beth Am through this year’s 70th Anniversary Gala. Through the support of our sponsors, guests, dessert dash, and giving at the gala we raised over $200,000 to fund our essential operations!

Celebrating 70 years gives us an opportunity to give thanks to those who came before us, many of whom never imagined this thriving community of 900 families living a vibrant Jewish life in the north end of Seattle. It is an important reminder that they have passed the torch to us today to continue this legacy. In Seattle, Judaism does not happen by accident. It takes dedication, a concerted effort, and your financial support.

We also want to thank a few people who made this event extra special. Ben and Theresa Glatstein for their words of wisdom (see below), Puddin Cox, who was instrumental in helping us reach our fundraising goals.. Ruth and Greg Berkman, Dara McAllister, and all of those who attended the work party or help set up the venue, our amazing volunteer board that reached out to their Beth Am communities, Chava Mirel and her band for ROCKING the night away, and the Beth Am clergy and professional team who did so much behind the scenes work with a special shout out to Amanda Radman who for two years in a row dedicated an enormous amount of time to this event.

We are so grateful to those of you who donated after hearing the moving words from Ben and Theresa Glatstein (watch the video here). If you’d like to make a tax-deductible donation it is not too late! Please donate here.

How the Gala Helps Support our Annual Budget

The Gala helps us raise over 6% of our annual operating budget. This ensures we can continue the important work of:

  • Welcoming new members looking for Jewish connections here in Seattle
  • Providing pastoral care to our families in their times of celebration and mourning
  • Offering youth learning – experiential education, B’nai Mitzvah observances, trips, and social experiences to deepen our youth’s connection to Judaism
  • Providing over $100,000 in scholarships for Gan, Seed, and camp to families in need
  • Providing engaging adult learning and connection programs to enrich our minds
  • Holding retreats for youth and families to strengthen our relationships
  • Offering Community Engagement programs, festivals, carnivals, meals, and events to celebrate Shabbat, holidays, and build relationships
  • Sharing spiritual blessings and music every week at Shabbat and during the High Holy Days
  • Helping the wider community through food and housing insecurity programs, immigrant support, and other Tzedek work
  • And much, much more!
