Young Families@Beth Am

Young Famlies@Beth Am is a new group created to serve families whose oldest child is currently in Kindergarten or below. Our goal is to help bridge the gap from birth through the first year in school in a uniquely Jewish context. We are here to build community, foster new friendships, connect people and have fun! Although we are based out of Seattle's North End Reform Temple, you do not need to be a member of Temple Beth Am to participate in this group. Everyone welcome!

Young Families is now on Meetup.com. We've made our page private to protect our young families since our events may be at people's homes and we may post pictures of kids. Once you are approved to join, you'll be able to see the full page content. Join Meetup today and learn about upcoming events.

Young Families is also on Facebook. Simply Search for "Young Families@Beth Am" and click join!

You do not need to be a member of Beth Am to participate in this group. Contact Alysa Rosen with any questions. Our chair is parent and volunteer, Gaby Charlton.

Young Adults at Beth Am

YABA August BBQ Young Adults at Beth Am (YABA) is a new group created to serve Jews in their 20’s and 30’s in a Reform context. We are based in the North End of Seattle but hold events all around the area. Newcomers welcome!

We seek to create a Jewish community that is welcoming, inclusive, and vibrant. We meet roughly 4-6 times a year for social events, holiday celebrations, Shabbat dinners and social action projects. Past events have included a Saki and Latke Hanukkah gathering, Shabbat Dinner Game Night, Mojitos and Midrash in the Sukkah and a Barbeque at Golden Gardens.

We are also excited to announce a new group called Young Families@Beth Am, which is an offshoot of YABA and is open to new and young parents of small children. See details below.

On January 1, 2011 we announced a new initiative called Tri-Temple Young Adults. When you see the phrase "this is a Tri-Temple event," it means that event will include the young adult groups at Temple De Hirsch Sinai and Temple B‘nai Torah, our fellow Reform congregations.

Everyone is welcome to all of these groups regardless of your background, observance level, status, etc. You don't have to be a member of Temple Beth Am in order to be part of any of these groups. For more information, contact Program Director Alysa Rosen, 206-525-0915.
